Edmago surf guide

Edmago is a surf spot located about a 4km cruise to the southwest, featuring a nice oval of white sand surrounded by palms. It's known for its surfing, with a couple of different breaks to choose from. The main attractions here are a decent left-hander and a right that’s more consistent but not as exciting. To get the best conditions, you need a northwest swell and southeast winds. Both breaks don’t do well with extreme tides, so plan your sessions accordingly.

When it comes to the surf, Edmago handles swell sizes of around 3ft (about 1 meter) pretty well. The left-hander is less consistent, while the right is more reliable for catching waves. The waves break over live coral, so be cautious. The best conditions are with a mid-tide, and if you're looking for a bit of adventure, intermediate surfers will find a good challenge here. For ideal wind conditions, you’ll want a south wind to really make the most of your session.

Keep in mind that while the left can be inconsistent, you have a better chance of scoring some fun on the right. So if you’re heading to Edmago, it’s wise to check the swell direction and wind before you paddle out. Enjoy your time out there!
