Surf: The trade wind and swell protected bay and rivermouth of Grande Rivière is the place to head in huge swells when the rest of the north coast is maxed-out. Nice peaks over rocks at the eastern side but it is often small and the adjacent beachbreak is bigger. Another good bigger swell reefbreak can be found back at Matelot. Environment: It's a 40 minute drive from Sans Souci, plus it only breaks on very rare occasions so it gets properly crowded when it does finally fire up.
