Isla Blanca State Park surf guide
Surf: General: Isla Blanca Park in South Padre marks the epicenter of consistency and quality surf in Texas. Isla Blanca contains several peaks on the north side of the jetty which can showcase powerful, hollow walls not typically associated with Texas surf. Best on SE to E swells and can handle much larger surf then elsewhere in Texas. As with most Texan passes, in-between the two jetties there are a couple of quality waves that only break on the biggest swells when the beaches are closed out. On the strongest hurricane events, even tow surfing becomes a viable option at the end of the jetties.
