More about K38 surfspot

K38, aka El Morro, is a famous but very crowded right, peeling fast and hollow over an urchin farm. Best on a S swell, or a stronger W to NW pulse at low to mid. Likes lower tide and breaks over a cobblestone with bigger rocks near the takeoff. There are some lower quality lefts that get shallow on the inside. Handles size as it just breaks further out. Working on similar swells but higher tides, K38.5 is another fast, walled-up right reef plus a left, breaking between 2 rocky outcrops. Escape the thicker crowds by paddling to K39, an outside-breaking reef able to produce quality lefts and rights in any sizeable swell.

Overlooked by monstrous tourist development who claim "Private access to world-class pontbreak K38!" Lots of car theft.
