Surf: The Kona Coast boasts the best conditions with offshore trades and a S to N swell window. Kawaihae Harbor is the island’s official tidal measurement location and hosts several beginner friendly reefs next to the breakwater. Plenty of rights in NW swells, spied by a web-cam plus a good, rolling left into the boat channel. Environment: Needs a bit of swell and is sometimes crowded.
