Komari, also known as Green Point, is a surf spot located about a 20-minute walk from the end of the road leading to a small lighthouse on a rocky headland. It's somewhat tricky to locate, and the spot can easily get blown out during afternoon sea breezes, so timing your session is key.
The surf here works best with a southeast swell direction, but it can also handle north and south swells. You can expect wave sizes around 1ft (0.3m), making it quite accessible for beginners. The waves generally come in as right-hand point breaks and work over a sandy bottom. The best conditions are often found at low to high tide and when the wind is coming from the west.
While it might not offer the most powerful waves, Komari's set-up is nice, and it can be a fun spot to practice your skills. If you're starting out or looking for a laid-back session, it's worth checking out. Just remember to keep an eye on the wind and swell for the best experience!
