Komari, also known as Green Point, is a right-hand point break that peels over sand. It's a nice-looking set-up that rarely delivers enough power or shape to match its looks.
When It Works
The point draws swell from south through north (S-N), with southeast swell the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft and stays moderately consistent, so there are worthwhile windows when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for west offshore wind, and try to get there early, since the afternoon sea breeze tends to blow the point out. It can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an approachable, beginner-friendly wave, and the lineup stays quiet even when it's working.
Access
Komari is hard to find. Reaching it means a 20-minute walk from the end of the road out to a small lighthouse on a rocky headland.
