Surf: Right in front of the harbour wall, Le Jetty is another spot that handles plenty of swell and gets busy in summer when everywhere else is flat. A hairy take-off leads into a speed-pump wall that will tube if the wind is N quadrant or light enough. Long ride over the coral shelf that is home to zillions of urchins and of course sharks. There are more waves on the S and E coasts, but there have been shark attacks in these areas and surfing is not advised.
