Lohi's, also known as Lohifushi, is a surf spot located at the Huduranfushi resort. It's notable for hosting 5 WQS events from 2001 to 2005, making it a recognized surf destination. While it has a longer wave compared to Pasta, many surfers agree it’s not as perfect. Access to this surf spot is exclusive to resort guests, so plan accordingly if you want to ride the waves here.
The surf at Lohi's generally works best with a south swell, and it can handle swell sizes starting from 2ft (about 0.6m). You’ll find that the wave breaks over dead coral, producing left-hand waves that can be fun to ride. It handles different tide heights well—low, mid, and high—all with the best conditions arising from a northeast wind. However, this spot is more suited for intermediate surfers, as the inside section can produce some dramatic waves.
One thing to keep in mind is that while Lohi's has its moments, it isn’t known for being super consistent. If you’re in the area and staying at the resort, it's definitely worth checking out for a surf session, but be prepared for some less-than-perfect days. Enjoy the ride!
