Loisells Beach surf guide

Surf: Loisell’s/Waihau Bay has exposed beachbreaks anchored by the odd rocky patch. It catches a lot of swell, but is best with N-NW wind on a E swell. Directions: From Gisborne town centre drive east on Gladstone Road, onto Wainui Road, State Highway 35, towards Wainui. Continue past Wainui on Moana Road and onto Whangara Road. At Waihau Bay turn right onto Waihau Road, The road will turn to Gravel, and continue down to the beach. Environment: There’s also a rock and sand point within walking distance north.
