Surf: The righthanders at Marang hug the curved wall of the harbour giving a pointbreak feel, but it’s rarely surfed as a strong E swell is required for it to work. There's some beachbreak on either side of the harbour and the offshore resort islands like Perhentian, Redang, Gemia or Kapas may be worth investigation. Environment: Beware of the tetrapods.
