Surf: Waipara Beach in Midshore Bay has a E swell, high tide only left point that is augmented by some beachies under the cliffs. Directions: Mid Shore is located on the coast from Waipara, north Canterbury. From Christchurch head north on State Highway 1, through Amberley. At Waipara turn right onto Mount Cass Road and follow this to the end, the road will turn to gravel. You will come to a farm house where you will need to park up and walk across two paddocks and down the hill to the beach. Ask permission before crossing the farmers land. Environment: It's difficult access through private farmland and down a cliff so only locals on the few days its good. Awesome scenery in an isolated location so good surfers only.
