Moulay Bousselham surf guide

Surf: More open beachbreak north of the large lagoon outflow. Handles a bit more size on the shifty banks, but is best in peaky summer/autumn swells. Access: accommodation available Environment: A friendly fishing village slowly turning into a summer resort and is enticing more vans to detour on their way south. Surf: General: A shifty set of beachbreak peaks fed by a nearby rivermouth, Moulay Bousselham is a great escape option if you have tired of the endless right-hand pointbreaks and associated crowds. While the waves at Moulay Bousselham do get busy in the summer, it still retains its sleepy fishing village aesthetic and the lineup is pretty empty during winter. Tides: Mid to high Size: Chest-high to overhead. Wind: E Swell: N, NW, W Bottom: Sand. Paddling: Standard beachbreak burn. Spot Rating: Not as flashy as Morocco's pointbreaks, but still a fun set of peaks. Access: Drive to Moulay Bousselham village and park in front of the break. Crowds: Crowd Factor: Busy during summer, pretty chill during winter. Local Vibe: Mellow. Environment: The break is located near a major lagoon outlet, but stays relatively clean, all things considered. Hazards: Rips. Season: Autumn (although winter tends to be less crowded).
