Surf: Nalvo, near Santa Maria has reef and beachbreak with options for most surfers. South of Darigayos Point is the occasionally crowded, winter surf region of San Juan. Waves are mellow and easy unlike the shallow reefbreaks dotting most of this coast. There are about 15 identified spots on a 40km (25mi) stretch of brownish sand down to San Fernando.
