P-Land surf guide

P-Land, located near Remedios in the Morro Negrito surf camp area, is a solid spot for surfers looking to catch some waves. It's a popular place, so you’ll usually find someone out there when it’s working, which is pretty often. The break wraps around the southwestern tip of Silva de Afuera, and it’s known for its faster waves.

The surf at P-Land mainly peaks on a tabletop reef, which creates fast, tubing lefts. It generally handles swell sizes at around 5ft (1.5 meters) and is best surfed on mid to high tides. The optimal swell direction is from the southwest, but it can also handle swells coming from the south. The waves break over uneven reef, so it’s good to keep that in mind. With a preferable wind direction coming from the northeast, the conditions can be pretty favorable, but be aware that it can get crowded, especially since the take-off zone is quite tight. Intermediate surfers will find this spot more suited to their skills compared to beginners.

Just a bit further down the reef, you'll find a break known as Leftovers. This spot offers a mushier wave, providing an alternative when P-Land gets pretty crowded. Both breaks are part of the surf camp’s offerings, giving surfers more options depending on the conditions.
