Piscinas is a stretch of open beachbreaks along the pristine, uncrowded Costa Verde, just south of Marina di Arbus. Fun sand banks throw up walled-up, performance peaks that suit all standards when the wind turns offshore. It's a reliable place to check when the Capo Mannu area has gone flat.
When It Works
The beach picks up every pulse of swell, breaking over sand with both lefts and rights. It draws swell from the south around to the north (S-N), with southwest (SW) the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for east (E) offshore wind to clean up the peaks. The banks can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
With forgiving peaks over sand, Piscinas is a welcoming spot for beginners still finding their feet.
Access
There's free parking right by the beach.
