Playa de Pared surf guide

Playa de Pared is a lesser-known beach that’s a nice alternative to the more crowded spots. The beach features average peaks, making it a decent choice for surfers looking to escape the usual tourist track. It's particularly good for catching some waves when the NW swell comes in, though the conditions can change pretty quickly, especially with N winds rolling in later in the day. The easiest access is via the stairs located next to the info sign.

The surf here breaks over sand and can handle swell sizes starting from 2ft (about 0.6 meters). The waves can come from the north or south, with options to ride lefts or rights. For the best experience, hitting the water early in the morning is recommended since the conditions are best at that time. The wind tends to work well from the southeast. The spot works across all tide heights, whether it’s low, mid, or high, making it quite flexible for different surfing sessions.

This beach is great for beginners, although be mindful of the strong rips that can surprise you. There are also a few scattered rocks to watch out for when you’re paddling out. Overall, it's a chill spot to practice and enjoy some surfing without too much hassle.
