Pradomar is a popular surf spot located in Colombia, known for its beach breaks and welcoming vibe. It attracts surfers of all levels, but especially beginners looking for a friendly atmosphere to hone their skills. The beach is accessible and offers a good mix of sand and surf, making it a solid choice for a day on the waves.
This spot is especially good for catching soft right waves off the jetty and some decent lefts further down the beach. It works best with a NorthEast swell, but it can also pick up some NorthWest swells. The conditions are manageable from about 1ft (0.3 meters) up to overhead, but be cautious as the rips can get quite strong when it maxes out. The waves break over sand, which is beginner-friendly, and the ideal winds are from the SouthEast. You can surf here at pretty much any tide level—low, mid, or high—all have their own unique feel.
If you find Pradomar getting a bit crowded or if the conditions aren't ideal, you might want to check out El Muelle down in Puerto Colombia, especially on those big and windy days. It could give you a chance to explore different waves while still being close by.
