Surf: Raupo Bay picks up more S swells that don't get into the Christchurch beaches and will usually have some decent sandbars wedging up peaks at both ends. Little Raupo will have some N wind protection, otherwise anything with W in it will be offshore. Environment: The long walk in keeps crowds to a minimum. Wild unspoilt spot.
