S' Archittu is a surf spot located near Oristano, nestled along the coastline of Sardinia. Known for its distinct right-hand point break, the area offers some decent waves for those looking to catch a ride. It's best accessed via road SS 292, which runs right above the spot. This surf location can get busy, especially on good days, so be prepared to share the waves with other surfers.
The waves here are quite interesting, breaking mostly right but with some occasional lefts. It works best with a solid Southwest swell and can handle swell sizes starting from around 2 feet (0.6 meters). While the spot is primarily a point break, the uneven reef can make for some unpredictable waves. If you time your session right—ideally with an East wind and during low to mid-high tide—you might enjoy long rides that can stretch up to 700 meters on the best days. Just keep in mind that strong currents can kick in, especially on windy days, so it's more suitable for intermediate surfers who have experience in these conditions.
If you're planning to surf at S' Archittu, make sure to enter and exit in front of the Is Benas Surf Club, as the sharp rock bottom and sea urchins can be tricky. Be ready for varying wave conditions depending on the swell direction, which can be Northwest or Southwest. Overall, S' Archittu might not be the top spot, but it can definitely offer some fun days in the water if you know what to expect.
