San Remo - Tre Ponti surf guide

San Remo - Tre Ponti is a surf spot located west of San Remo along the SS.1 Aurelia, heading toward Ventimiglia. It's known for its beachbreaks and can be a decent choice for surfers looking to catch some waves without traveling too far. The area is quite popular, so you might find it a bit crowded, especially on good days.

This spot works best on southeast swells and can also handle some west swells. It’s surfable at sizes starting from 2ft (about 0.6 meters) and can become challenging over 6ft (around 1.8 meters), where it tends to close out. The waves break over sand and offer both left and right options. The preferred wind direction is from the north, and it can be surfed at low, mid, and high tide. Beginners can enjoy the waves here, making it a good spot to practice.

When you're planning your session, keep in mind that the bay has multiple peaks, so you might find various spots to catch waves depending on the conditions. Make sure to check the local conditions before heading out, and have yourself a good time at Tre Ponti!
