Spartivento is located along Route SS 106, just south of Brancaleone Marina. This surf spot is known for its exposed coastline, making it a reliable choice when other nearby beaches are flat. It’s not typically crowded, giving surfers a good chance to enjoy the waves without fighting for space in the water.
The best conditions at Spartivento come with southeast swells, where the waves can get pretty fun. You can catch left-point waves here that might feature some barrel sections when the swell is around 2 feet (about 0.6 meters). While it's surfable with swells from east and southeast, the ideal wind is from the northwest. It works at any tide level - low, mid, or high - but most surfers find it suited for intermediate abilities.
With a shallow rocky bottom, it’s essential to be mindful while paddling out and riding waves. This spot holds up well under various conditions, so if you're looking for something less typical, Spartivento could be a solid addition to your surf trip.
