Le Serre is a surf spot located just after Capo Spartivento along coastal Route 106. It can be a bit tricky to find since it's not visible from the road. You'll need to turn right after a bridge and head down to the sea. The environment here is pretty laid-back, and it's a good spot for surfers looking for a mellow session away from the bigger crowds.
The waves at Le Serre break left over boulders, making it a point break. It's generally mellower compared to some nearby spots like Bova, but still offers long rides with different sections. The spot works best with a big Southeast swell and can handle swell sizes starting at about 0.6 meters (2 feet). Wind from the Southeast is ideal here, and you can surf it during low, mid, or high tides. Just keep in mind that there can be strong side-shore currents, so stay aware of your surroundings.
This spot is suitable for beginners as well, giving new surfers a chance to practice their skills on manageable waves. If you're heading out, be prepared to jump in from the bottom of the bay on the right side. So grab your board, keep an eye on the swell direction, and enjoy your time at Le Serre!
