Surf: The west coast of Morotai has plenty of potential rights if enough swell swings into the northern corners of the bays. Across the channel, Pulau Rau has a couple of excellent lefts including Tacos, a super fast left dashing down a curved fringing reef over super sharp coral. Needs a bit more water and a bit more N in the swell to stop it being a losing race against the inevitable shut-down. Environment: Looks a pretty picture from above the village, but close inspection reveals barely submerged coral heads when breaking in the 4-5ft range. Even the locals don't fancy it.
