The Patch surf guide

Surf: Gutless, sheltered beginner’s spot facing southeast, at the end of Bolinas’ Overlook Drive. Bottom slopes gently, causing some genuine longboard sliders. Works on big winter swells or big southerlies. Low tide. The prevailing NW winds are offshore here, but it’s not like the wind makes the wave hold up and pitch. Weak surf despite the mixed rock and sand bottom. Environment: Nice view to the south.
