Surf: An exceptional albeit seasonal sandbar at the mouth of the Estero’s delta, about a mile walk east from Drakes Beach, on the south side of Point Reyes. Generally only good during the summer and late spring, when S swells can focus onto the bar and bend the waves into speedy tubes in either direction. Incoming tide. Offshore during N winds. Score it good and you’ll never forget the experience. Environment: Sharks galore.
