Alabama Ave., Kure Beach surf guide
Surf: General: Directly south of Carolina Beach is Kure Beach, where surfers generally focus on the pier or any of a number of beach accesses, like Alabama Avenue, which sits right at the border between the two towns. Fun waves peel off the outflow pipe on the right swell and the crowd is typically a bit more mellow than some of the nearby, more popular spots.
