Bredene is a surf spot located just east of Oostende. The surf area is in front of Beachclub Twins, which makes it convenient to grab a bite or rent gear while you’re there. The beach has that laid-back vibe, perfect for a chill surf day.

The waves at Bredene can be fun, especially for beginners. They work best with a swell direction coming from the North, but can handle swells from the Northwest and Northeast as well. The ideal swell size is around 1ft (0.3m), and the waves typically break over sand. You can catch both left and right waves here, which is nice if you want to switch things up. For the best conditions, keep an eye on wind coming from the Southeast and aim to surf during low, mid, or high tide.
