Club Raro surf guide

Club Raro is a surf spot located off the coast, known for its potential to produce some decent waves, especially for those who ride right-handers. It's a reef break that generally works best with smaller north swells. The vibe here is laid-back, and it's suited more for experienced surfers given the conditions.

The best waves come with a northeast swell direction, but you can also find some action with northwest and east swells. Club Raro handles swell sizes up to about 4 feet (1.2 meters) and tends to work well at mid to high tide. Keep in mind, though, that the lineup can be a bit tricky to read, and you might take a few hits while navigating the straight reef line. The ideal wind direction is southwest, which helps to clean up the surf a bit.

Since it’s a reef break, it's important to be careful out there—only expert surfers should tackle these waves. The live coral underneath can be quite unforgiving if you wipe out, so having some skills before heading out is definitely recommended. Overall, Club Raro has some potential, but it’s not the most beginner-friendly spot.
