Corners surf guide

Corners is a surf spot that's known for its left-hand waves, working well in both summer and winter. The sweet spot for a good session here is with a south swell, but it can also handle some north swell. The reef setup here is where the magic happens, creating some fun rides for those looking to catch waves. It’s not the best choice for beginners, so surfers should have at least an intermediate level to respect the conditions.

The waves at Corners can be pretty intense. When there's a south swell, expect short, sucky barrels that can really get you going. In the summer with northwestern swells, you’ll find fun, ripable walls that are great for doing big slashes and airs. However, if any west swells roll in during winter, it can become a dangerous left, so take caution. The ideal swell sizes are around 3ft (about 1 meter), and the best wind direction is southeast. Mid to high tide is what you want for the most fun out there.

This spot is primarily for barrel enthusiasts and bodyboarders when those south swells are firing. Just keep in mind that the reef can be tricky, and injuries have happened when the conditions are super intense. As long as you’re aware of the environment and are confident in your abilities, Corners can deliver some exciting sessions.
