Surf: Probably the best break in Myrtle Beach, just out front of the Dunes Country Club. The swash here creates a definite sandbar, which breaks both ways into the rivermouth, giving longer rights on a SE swell. A hollow, top-to-bottom punchy wave. Environment: Consistent and uncrowded with surfers but packed with fish that bite. Exclusive residential streets with no legal parking means a one mile hike in. Stormwater and estuary runoff can affect water quality.
