Surf: Not the best shaped left along this coast but often the biggest with chunky walls and power at size. More lefts on the way out to the lighthouse and the most westerly point of the North Island. Directions: From New Plymouth head south west on South Road, The surf Highway, State Highway 45. Go through Warea and turn right onto Bayly Road or Pungarehu Road, then drive along Coast Road and find the left hand point. Environment: Consistent and uncrowded.
