Surf: All around here are small tracks leading through farms to the ocean and waves. Always ask permission before crossing someone’s property and close all farm gates. The area swarms with decent reefs; Paora Road, Stent Road or Weld Road are the best known. Most of the waves here need a high tide and an offshore wind, (although a couple of them can handle SW winds), and they can also hold big waves.
