Fishermans Island surf guide
Surf: At the northern extremity of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, a small crescent of sand is home to an extremely rare point-style lefthander. The swell has to be coming from a S to E direction and N winds will groom the long, fast barreling walls. Will break on all tides but is more makeable with more water.
Environment: So fickle it’s not funny. To compound things, there’s no access without a boat. No stopping or parking in the immediate vicinity, and no trespassing on the beach. This means that only the most dedicated locals are ever going to surf this spot.
