Frazer Park surf guide

Frazer Park is a nice little surf spot located just a short drive from Newcastle. It's set within a small National Park, offering a pretty backdrop for your surf sessions. This beach is best to check out with small to medium swells coming from the NorthEast or SouthEast. While it can be a fun place to catch waves, the surf does tend to close out when the swell gets above about 6 ft (1.8 m).

The waves here are mostly peaky, making it suitable for beginners looking to gain some experience. You can catch waves coming from the left and right, and the spot handles swell sizes starting as low as 1 ft (0.3 m). It's best to hit Frazer Park when the wind is coming from the NorthWest, and you'll have a better time surfing during low, mid, or even high tide.

Expect some nice scenery around the beach, and crowds can vary, so if you're looking for a quieter session, try hitting it early or on weekdays. Overall, it's a solid place for beginner surfers looking to improve their skills without too much hassle.
