Surf: Catherine Hill Bay often has lovely triangles in the shadow of the old coal mining town and coal loader jetty. Super consistent and often bigger than its neighbours, it attracts surfers from both south and north when other beaches are suffering. SE swell best and it always delivers a bit of extra kick. Environment: Residents have been fighting off developers for years. A walk south to Moonee will cut numbers or further on to Ghosties where you will find of rock caves and maybe even liquid ones.
