Surf: The main beach at Iioka bristles with jetties and breakwalls that parallel the beach, creating some sandbars and channels in most conditions. Needs any S swell and any N wind to be clean. Shinto Shita and Paipu Shita to the west are the main spots attracting the the bulk of the crowd who only have to drive the 80kms from Tokyo to get wet. Environment: Beginners love this place and arrive in big packs with the surf schools, especially on weekends. Water quality is dubious around here.
