Spoking left point when a moderate to large SE swell wraps around the Tasman Peninsula, usually in the winter months. Triangulated walls suck harder at size and throw a punchy pocket straight from the drop, then racing to the shoulder as it recedes into the bay. Refracts heavily so size is quickly lost. Nice backdrop in the shape of Wedge Island.

Kelpies is a long walk from anywhere through private property and is surrounded by deeper water so avoid sharky times at dawn and dusk. Hard to find so crowds are generally low.
