Kundu Kundu is a surf spot located about 150 meters away from the island. It's known for its deep water lefts and can handle various swell sizes. This spot picks up all available swell, with the west being the most favorable direction. It works well at all tides, particularly at mid, and can hold waves up to 10 feet high, offering a long ride for those who catch it right.
This spot is great for intermediate surfers. The optimal swell direction is west, but it also catches swells from the south and northwest. It can handle swell sizes starting at around 2 feet (0.6 meters), and it breaks over live coral, which gives it some unique characteristics. You can expect those long lefts to come through, especially when the wind is blowing from the northeast. Whether you're hitting it on low, mid, or high tide, there's usually something fun to ride.
While you're out there, keep an eye out for fins; there's a chance you might see some marine life. But don't worry, no diver has ever been attacked here!
