La Pared surf guide

Surf: General: Right in Luquillo, there's a big breakwall in front of the road protecting the wide, sandy beach; it's pretty average beachbreak, good for learning. When it's super-good (a few times per year), it can actually get very hollow and powerful. Tides: Any Size: Chest high-overhead Wind: South Swell: NW, N, NE Bottom: Sand Paddling: Pretty mellow. Spot Rating: Good beginner wave. Access: Park right on the street above the wave. Crowds: Crowd Factor: Pretty spread out. Local Vibe: Fairly mellow. Environment: Not bad. Hazards: Not much. Season: Late summer and fall for tropical cyclone swells but late fall through early spring for consistency.
