Margara surf guide

Surf: General: This is a beautiful, long right reef/point (with a shorter left) by the side of the road in Arecibo. It's an A-frame on the drop that bowls for about 50 yards and then smoothes out into a long, rippable wall, all the way into the little bay. It's really susceptible to wind. Tides: Not the biggest tidal changes but lower generally better. Size: Head high-double overhead+ Wind: South Swell: N Bottom: Reef Paddling: Can be a good amount of work when there is some size. Spot Rating: A darn good wave on the right day. Access: Parking lot across the street. Crowds: Crowd Factor: Can get busy when the surf is good. Local Vibe: Yeah, and Arecibo locals mean business. Environment: Pretty good. Hazards: Crowds. Season: Late summer and fall for tropical cyclone swells but late fall through early spring for consistency.
