More about Meanos surfspot

Flinders Beach is dotted with different reefbreaks, Meanos being the nastiest wave, tucked beneath the West Head cliffs. Even at high tide, the lefts can be intimidating, but the rights are easier, as is the inside reform. Further west is Cyril's, a fickle righthander that can be long and smoking, especially at size when it unfurls some tubes on it's refractive trip around the reef. Gunnery peaks further out on the tip of the headland but rarely impresses with lumbering, uncultured rights that intermediates will happily ride in the overhead range. Finally, around the corner near the end of the Flinders Jetty, Farm will sometimes show it's quality when a moderate to big S-SW swell wraps onto the reef ledge and peels fast to the right, or closes-out, depending on your luck. Works in westerly winds.

Medium consistency and crowds. Access off Golf Links Rd.
