Moustali's Left is an accessible surf spot located on the east coast, just south of Domoni, near a filling station. It’s the first spot you come across from the road, making it pretty easy to find. This area catches the NE windswell well, especially during the winter months, so you can get some regular sessions here. The waves break over big black boulders, creating a unique wave setup as the swell wraps around a bend in the coast. It can sometimes deliver a decent wall, but don’t expect perfect conditions all the time.
The spot really works best with swell from the NorthEast, but it can also handle Southeast swells. You’ll want to look for swell sizes around 2ft (about 0.6 meters) for a good ride. The waves are predominantly point breaks and tend to go left, which is great for those who prefer lefts. For optimal conditions, aim for a glassy day with either low or mid tide. The spot gets affected by the main onshore SE wind, so it’s better if the wind is coming from the Northwest.
Overall, Moustali's Left caters mainly to intermediate surfers, so it’s not the best place for beginners just starting out. Because of the tricky wind conditions, it offers moderate consistency, which means you might not always have perfect waves waiting for you. If you like some solo surfing, this spot is also a good call, as it’s often less crowded compared to more popular beaches.
