Ntylonyane, also known as Breezy Point, is situated in the scenic Transkei region. It’s recognized for its consistent waves that attract surfers looking for reliable conditions. However, it's important to note that this spot has a bit of a reputation due to its history of shark attacks, which has made some surfers think twice about hitting the water here. The wave is often compared to those found in J-Bay, but the serious vibe around the place can’t be ignored.

The surfing at Ntylonyane primarily works best with swells coming from the south, though it can also handle easterly and southwesterly directions. The ideal swell size is around 3 feet (approximately 0.9 meters) but can accommodate larger swells. Surfers can expect right-hand point breaks that wrap around on uneven reef and sand, delivering some fun barrels and long rides. Low, mid, and high tides all work, but you'll want to keep an eye on the wind, as west winds are preferable for the best conditions. This spot is generally recommended for expert surfers, so make sure you're up to the challenge.

Being located within a nature reserve, there’s no camping allowed and limited accommodation options. Ideally, you would need to plan ahead and secure a private bungalow if you're looking to stay close to the surf. July can be particularly tricky due to the sardine run, which seems to trigger the shark activity here, so timing your visit carefully could make a difference in your experience.
