Transkei’s most consistent point, Ntylonyane (Breezy Point) has a J-Bay-like righthander that is super-consistent, but is more notorious for its ominous fatal shark attack record. Big wrapping S swells will line up some slingshot barrel sections and long copings as the wave fizzes along the sand-covered rocks.

Nature reserve - no camping

Since it is in a nature reserve there is no camping and no accommodation available unless you can rent one of the private family owned bungalows before arriving. All the attacks on surfers have occurred in July, coinciding with the annual sardine run and dispelling the long-held view that murky summer water is the most dangerous.
