Coffee Bay Point surf guide
Surf: Coffee Bay Point breaks right off the southern headland of the arcing Coffee Bay, needing smaller E swells or bigger S swells to reform over the rock shelf and sand bottom. It's a fairly slow wall and sheds a lot of size and power from big SW-S swells, but can line-up over the inside sandbar every now and then.
Environment: Great for improvers and will only be crowded in Dec-Jan holiday season. On the other side of the headland is Mbomvu’s rare, righthand rivermouth spot and White Clay, an average beachie that picks up most of the available swell. Further down the cliffs is Majutt Point, a serious right point in E swells.
