Playa Linda surf guide
Surf: In Ixtapa, Playa Linda is usually mushy but the rivermouth can produce long left walls as the wave reels into a sandy lagoon. River flow shifts the bar and S gets blocked by the island, but SW can line-up nicely. Beachbreaks back towards the harbour jetty in NW swells.
Environment: There’s a ferry to Ixtapa Island, where a zipping right barrels over a flat rock ledge on the south coast. Due S swell and higher tides best.
Surf: General: Playa Linda is a mellow, user-friendly left-hand point break/river mouth that also has a shorter right available. This popular spot in the Zihuatanejo area's thriving surf scene. Picking up consistent south swells during the northern hemisphere summer, Playa Linda is a great option for beginners and intermediate surfers looking to ride a few longish rides.

Spot Rating: Playa Linda is pretty soft, but the left runs for a bit, making it great for beginners.
