Surf: Jump from the old steel pier to ride Ponte Metalica’s quality reefbreak peaks. A slab of limestone reef holds the sand and the sometimes sucky peaks are best with N swell and low tides. The E winds aren’t a problem but the crowds and pollution are. Environment: The pier is the place to watch the sunset from and the tourists come in their hundreds to do so.
