Puerto Caldera has a faster, ripable left rivermouth bar in front of the bridge on big swells and higher tides. Further west El Hoyo throws up a quality jetty wedge that needs W in the swell, higher tides and E winds to produce sucky pits and ramps for a big bodyboarding crew. Can be a left on north side of jetty and a rare barrelling left on an offshore reef. The south end of the beach has a fun, all tides left point at Punta Corralillos.
Access can be difficult through the docks and security is a problem. All these waves are polluted by the industrial harbour. Expect some local vibes.
