Surf: Bigger swells light up Punta Palmar’s fast powerful righthanders at high tide as it breaks further out off the point. It works on smaller swells, breaking fatter and slower inside the headland. There’s also the popular Frente Palmar beachbreak, which serves as a contest site, despite most waves tendency to closeout, but it keeps the beginners away from the pointbreaks. Environment: Weekend crowds get thick and the surf camp at Frente adds to the bodies strung across the 3 to 4 breaks.
