Rena Majore is a long beach break with several fun peaks, its sandbars anchored to a rock bottom. It breaks both left and right, and sits just west of Santa Teresa along the road to Sassari.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from southwest through northwest (SW-NW), with northeast (NE) the optimal direction. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Surf here can be fairly inconsistent, so it pays to catch it on the right day.
Wind and Tide
Look for east (E) offshore wind. The beach can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow peaks suit beginners, and the lineup rarely gets crowded.
